The heart and soul of Mid-Michigan is the CAN Council Great Lakes Bay Region Mardi Gras in Saginaw. The CAN Council provides caring services for children of abuse and neglect. Auction brio is proud to have been teamed up with the CAN Council for six Mardi Gras auctions, with each building to a sell out crowd and has become THE featured fundraising event in Mid-Michigan.
As you can well imagine, the Mardi Gras is a festive fundraiser. This is a great fundraising event with a great party. From the festive jazz music to the costumes worn by guests, to the decorations that transforms the Apple Mountain Resort in Freeland, Michigan into a taste of New Orleans.
The silent auction surrounds the ballroom room while the live auction is sparked with 16 packages and a Big Board auction to engage the guests.
The CAN Council has faced rain, extreme below zero temperatures, snow storms and always comes up big on their February fundraiser. The staff and volunteers who help with this event are dedicated to making this a success and it is not unusual to have 22 ladies show for a committee meeting. Each with a job to do to help execute a this fabulous event.
It was another great year for the CAN Council and Mark Schroeder CAI, BAS, CES of Auction brio congratulates The CAN Council on its success of the 22nd Mardi Gras.
